Yes. The Great St Bernard Tunnel is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Only the Great St Bernard mountain pass (high-altitude road) is closed in winter (Nov-May). The tunnel remains the main and safe route year-round.
Do I have to pay extra tolls?
No. The Great St Bernard Tunnel toll is included in your fare. If you choose the Simplon Pass route (summer, on request), the fare is adjusted since there’s no toll.
What documents do I need to enter Switzerland from Italy?
Switzerland is in Schengen but NOT in the EU. A valid passport or ID card is mandatory. Non-EU/Schengen nationals may need a Swiss visa (check before departure). We remind you of the requirements in your booking confirmation.
Can I visit Aosta en route?
Yes! Aosta is a fascinating Roman city 1h from Milan and 1h30 from Sierre. On request when booking, we can arrange a 45-minute stop in Aosta to visit the Arch of Augustus and the Roman theatre. Surcharge applies (duration + parking).
